Tom Green is the Young People’s Lead at Teenage Cancer Trust and makes sure that young people are at the centre of everything the charity does.
Teenage Cancer Trust create and deliver world-class cancer services for young people in the UK, and are the only charity dedicated to providing the expert treatment and support needed so young people don’t have to face cancer alone.
Prior to Teenage Cancer Trust, Tom looked after engaging young people for the Children’s Commissioner for England, managed the National Citizen Service in the West Midlands and ran a mentoring programme for teenagers who were thrown out of school. He has been invited to Buckingham Palace by the Queen for his services to Children and Young People and has authored three internationally quoted publications about the views and interests of children and young people. He regularly speaks to international audiences about how young people should be and can be involved in the decisions that affect their lives.
