Andrew Wilkie

Andrew Wilkie started his career at BBC Radio 1 and 2, but he took the risk of his life when he left the BBC to join a tiny startup charity, the Prison Radio Association. His job was to launch a radio station inside Brixton prison. Ten years on, that radio station became National Prison Radio, the world’s first national radio station for prisoners. He led his team to an incredible 10 Sony Radio Academy Awards in 5 years, won Station of the Year twice, and helped the Prison Radio Association become Charity of the Year 2016 at the Third Sector Awards. @prisonradiouk
