Danny is the Mental Health Spokesperson for Parliament Street, a political think tank, Vice Chair at Men Get Eating Disorders Too charity.
Worrying about how you look is a passing thought for many people, but for Danny, it became an all-consuming obsession. He used to spend hours in front of a mirror and developed body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) in his mid-teens.
Danny will be speaking on the affects of social media and the importance of providing positive messaging to young people, but also discussing the risks of negative messaging and imagery on young people’s mental health. He will be using his experience personally and in his current roles to provide an insight into social media and its affect on young people today.
